Research and development

 

During his studies in electronic engineering, Peter Hanappe started working with computers and computer music at the [Institute for Psychoacoustics and Electronic Music, IPEM] in Gent, Belgium. In 1994, he moved to Paris where he worked on a Ph.D. thesis on music and sound environments at the [Institute for Research and Coordination of Acoustics and Music, Ircam - Centre George Pompidou]. Although currently working as a freelance developer and consultant, he continues his research in computer music and is involved in artistic and musical software projects.
